The explosions that registered the Volcán de Fuego this Sunday caused the death of at least six people and left more than 20 wounded, according to the director of the National Coordinator for the Reduction of Disasters (Conred), Sergio Cabañas.
The authorities ordered the evacuation of the villages La Rochela, El Rodeo and Los Lotes; bordering the Volcán de Fuego.
According to information from lifeguards, there are children among the victims. Conred reports that there is an estimated number of missing persons, so they believe that the number of deaths and injuries could vary in a few hours.
