Adrián suffers from an incurable genetic disease called G6 deficiency.
Since he was born he has blood transfusions every 6 weeks.
We do not have IGSS (Guatemalan Social Security Institute) and at the Roosevelt Hospital, the attention he needed was not given due to lack of knowledge of the disease. They also don´t have the resources to buy the medication for so long. For that reason I ask for help, in order to acquire the medicine that he needs to take.
In order to confirm his diagnosis (something we would also like), his family needs to carry out high-cost genetic tests that can only be performed in Colombia through the Hospital Herrera Llerandi in Guatemala. Additionally, Adrian needs tests that can decipher the level of the condition that affects him, as well as routine evaluations that can assess whether there is damage to Adrián’s organs due to iron overload.
